Delete Specific Data

Overview

You can delete individual projects, voice notes, and your profile picture from within Wayna at any time, without deleting your whole account. This page explains the in-app steps for each type of deletion, what data is removed, and what is retained.

Deleting a Project

From the projects list

  1. Open the Wayna app and go to your projects list
  2. Swipe right on the project you want to remove
  3. Tap the red Delete action that appears
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted

From inside a project

  1. Open the project you want to remove
  2. Tap the ⋯ menu in the top-right corner
  3. Tap Delete Project
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted

Deleting a project also permanently removes everything inside it:

  • All voice notes recorded under the project
  • All transcriptions generated from those voice notes
  • All AI-generated documents derived from the project
  • Any merged audio export produced from the project

Deleting a Voice Note

  1. Open the project that contains the voice note
  2. Swipe left on the voice note you want to remove
  3. Tap the red Delete action that appears
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted

Deleting a voice note also permanently removes:

  • The audio recording itself
  • Its transcription
  • Any AI-generated document derived from it

Deleting a Generated Document

AI-generated documents are removed automatically when their source data is deleted — either by deleting the voice note the document was generated from, or by deleting the parent project. The original voice notes are kept; only the generated document is removed in that case.

A direct per-document delete control is planned for a future release. In the meantime, if you need a specific generated document removed sooner, you can email us using the address at the bottom of this page.

Deleting Your Profile Picture

  1. Open the Wayna app and go to your profile screen
  2. Tap your profile picture
  3. In the sheet that appears, tap Remove Avatar

Only the image is removed. The rest of your account — projects, voice notes, and settings — is unaffected.

What We Cannot Partially Delete

The following records sit outside the scope of in-app data deletion:

  • App Store purchase records — Apple and Google maintain their own transaction records for purchases made through their platforms
  • RevenueCat subscription records — anonymized subscription event logs may be retained by RevenueCat
  • Audit and security logs — minimal access logs we are required to keep for fraud prevention and legal compliance

To manage purchase or subscription records, contact Apple, Google, or RevenueCat directly through their respective support channels.

Processing Time

In-app deletions take effect immediately. The deleted content is removed from your account right away and from our servers shortly thereafter. Copies in encrypted backups are purged on a rolling 30-day schedule.
